The osloadpartition and/or osloadfilename values are incorrect. The best approach is to delete the boot selection and start again. Carefully consider the question, "Is the operating system in the same partition as the osloader?" Typically, the operating system and osloader are in different partitions. |
| The hard disk drive (HDD) is not correctly formatted, or the requested partition does not exist. | Partition and format the HDD using Hard Disk Setup section of AlphaBIOS Setup. Press [F7] for to perform an express setup on disk 0. |

SCSI termination: The SCSI bus must be terminated at the last internal and the last external SCSI peripherals. The last connector of the internal SCSI cable contains a terminator. If there are no external options, the external portion of the SCSI bus is automatically terminated (assuming the SCSI host adapter is in automatic mode, which is the default). |
