Ethernet MAU or MII Replacement

To replace either the Ethernet MAU (10BaseT/10Base2) or the MII (10/100Base) cards, shut down the system, remove power, remove the system cover, refer to the figure, and perform the following procedure:

  1. Put on your ESD wriststrap.
  2. Remove the screw securing the MAU or MII to the rear of the enclosure.
  3. Remove the MAU or MII from the system and disconnect the cable.
  4. Plug the cable (1) or (3) into the new MAU or MII and position the card in the enclosure.
  5. Secure the card with a screw.
