The floppy interface (in the SuperI/O chip) is hardwired to DMA channel 2. The parallel interface can use DMA channel 3 during certain modes of operation. The audio controller chip (ES1888) is capable of using DMA channels 0, 1, or 3 for general DMA and channel 5 for system DMA.
DMA channels 0-3 and 5-7 can be used by any of the three ISA slots on the riser card. The following table summarizes the DMA channel assignments (H=hardwired, P=program selected)
